History

He established SVET as a center for knowledge and academic excellence for people of all nationalities, origin, religious beliefs and social background. From a student strength of 216 it has grown to become an institution with nearly 10,000,[3] students, five colleges and two international schools and one pre-school. Logo of Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust

The logo of Sree Vidyanikethan[7] Educational Trust is referred to as The Tree of Enlightenment and is a personification of this very essence. It's the caring and experienced hands of a teacher that nurture innocence into enlightenment. The gentle hand is symbolic of the hand of a teacher, the guru, who nurtures the seed of innocence, which is the child. The Bodhi tree is what that seed grows up to into, to gift the world with the fruits of enlightenment and the shade of wisdom. The eye in the tree depicts how this tree shall keep a watch on the world. This unit is balanced and firmly rooted in the rounded-cornered typeface of Sree Vidyanikethan. In its entirety, this completes the identity of a large institution emerging into The Tree of Enlightenment.

Sree Vidyanikethan conducts training programs regularly for its students to make them industry-ready and geared for entry to mid-level roles in an organization. Our training is aimed at preparing students to move ahead in their career. Sree Vidyaniketan is proud of the fact that it has created employment opportunities for close to 8000 students, directly or indirectly. We are further on our way to grooming thousands of more such individuals.

Top companies like WIPRO, ADP, Infosys and Microsoft have recruited engineering students with packages over Rs. 6 lakh per annum. All core companies are given the ‘Dream Offer’ status, regardless of the CTC offer, which enables students to pursue the career in their own domain.

Mohana Mantra

Mohana Mantra[13] is the annual National Level Techno-Cultural fest hosted by Vidyanikethan. It includes contests and competitions, presentations, workshops, tech and non-tech quizzes, Sahiti Mantra, guest lectures, robotics, sport events, dance, singing, drama, painting and lot more. It has students from Sree Vidyanikethan and other institutions as well, who come together to showcase their talent, giving a glimpse into their future. It started in 2013 as an inter-college fest and has grown into a stage where pride is contested for, by about 50,000 students from across southern states, for 3 rewarding and fun-filled days. Sree Vidyanikethan is the first education institute to come up with such an initiative.

The Trust supports meritorious students, those working hard and displaying talent with knowledge, by way of scholarships.[17][18] These are majorly from the OBC, SC and ST communities. This comes from the Trust's belief that education is the right of everyone.

Alumni

There is an alumni[19] association of those who have passed out from any of the Trust's institutions, The SVET Office of Development and Alumni Relations. In the past 25 years, SVET has grown into an alma mater for over 25,000 students from various streams. The members are like a network that supports each other with information on opportunities. In fact, it has connected close to 10,000 former students.
