Club career

Born in Prijedor, Saničanin started career with local club Rudar in 2013. In the first season with the first team, he played just 2 matches with 1 start. After the end of his youth career, the club was relegated to the First League of RS, after which Saničanin became a standard player in the defensive line and made 22 league appearances with 1 goal, and also played 3 cup matches. He then moved to Borac Banja Luka.[1] Playing for that club, he made 18 appearances and scored 1 goal in the Bosnian Premier League.

In the winter break of the 2015–16 season, Saničanin was linked with a move to Italian Serie A club Udinese[2] and Serbian SuperLiga club Partizan.[3] He also spent several days training with Borac Čačak,[4] but he finally signed with Mladost Lučani on 22 January 2016.[5] On the last day of the summer transfer window of 2017, Saničanin moved to Vojvodina, on a three-year-deal.[6] In late July 2019, Saničanin extended his contract with Vojvodina until June 2021.[7]

International career

Saničanin represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on under-19 and under-21 levels.

In March 2020, he received his first senior call-up, for UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying play-offs against Northern Ireland.[8]
