Sinhgad College of Engineering

Sinhgad College of Engineering is a technical education institute in the city of Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune, India. It was established in the year 1996 with 4 UG Programs and a sanctioned intake of 240 students. The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). The college takes its name from the Sinhagad fort. It has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation and recognized by the AICTE. The institute has also been awarded an A Grade by NAAC.[2]

Infrastructure

The campus houses as many as 50 colleges in it. The multistory central library includes study halls with spread across 4 floors with a rooftop cafe on the top floor. The campus is WI-Fi enabled and has an amphitheatre. Also the campus has three lawn tennis courts, a basketball court, a football field and a mid-size cricket ground.

Hostel facilities for boys and girls is available on campus. Every year the students are allocated different hostels depending on year and subject of study. There is mess facility available for each hostel and also has canteens. Other facilities include, 24 security (24 hours), campus clinic, shops (basic needs, stationary, bus and train bookings), banking (banks and ATMs), recreational facilities (sports, cultural).

Admissions

65% of students are admitted on the basis of marks scored on the Maharashtra Engineering Entrance and 15% of the students from outside Maharashtra state by management quota.

The Sinhgad Environmental Conservation Organization (SECO)

The Sinhgad Environmental Conservation Organization (SECO) is a student group operating from Sinhgad College of Engineering campus which provides a platform for carrying out activities in the field of environment and energy conservation.
