Sheril Kirshenbaum

Sheril Kirshenbaum (born May 24, 1980) is an American science writer and the executive director of Science Debate, a nonprofit organization with a stated goal of restoring science to its rightful place in politics. She works to enhance public understanding of science and improve communication between scientists, policymakers and the public. Kirshenbaum co-authored Unscientific America: How Scientific Illiteracy Threatens Our Future[1] with Chris Mooney, and wrote The Science of Kissing. She currently works at Michigan State University and Scientific American. She is of Jewish descent.[2]
