Shantay Legans

Shantay Legans (born July 30, 1981) is an American college basketball head coach for Eastern Washington University[2] and former basketball player For the University of California at Berkeley (1999-2002) and Fresno State University (2003-2004). After His collegiate Career he played overseas in places like the Netherlands and other places outside of the U.S. Coach Shantey Legans has two kids a boy and a girl and his spouse named Tatjana. Coach Shantay Legans was named Big Sky Coach of the Year in 2020 as his team went on a winning record at 23-8 and finishing first in Big Sky. The Eastern Washington Eagles were the favorite for the Big Sky Chanpionship and a free ride trip to the NCAA tournament but unfortunately the Big Sky tournament and NCAA tournament was canceled due to the Corona Virus Pandemic.

On March 29, 2017, Legans was named the coach at Eastern Washington, replacing Jim Hayford.[3]
