Seiki Ichihara (市原 聖曠, Ichihara Seiki) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He managed Japan women's national team.

Coaching career

In June 1981, Japan Football Association formed first Japan women's national team for 1981 AFC Women's Championship in Hong Kong.[1] Japan Football Association appointed Ichihara as first Japan national team manager.

The first match at this tournament on June 7, Japan fought against Chinese Taipei. This match is Japan team first match in International A Match. However Japan lose this match (0–1) and the second match against Thailand (0–2) on June 11. The third match against Indonesia on June 13, Japan won 1–0 with Etsuko Handa goal. This is Japan team first victory.[2][3]

In September, Japan played 2 matches in Japan. However Japan lost in both games against England (0–4) and Italy (0–9).[2] The match against Italy is the biggest lose in the history of Japan national team.
