SRI-Noida delivers the second most number of mobile phones and tablets for the global market after South Korea. Beside of all Samsung mobiles SRI Noida is specialized on the models in the mid-tier in particular the Android Go platform based models which are super light and highly optimized mobile platform designed for ultra-budget smartphones and the M series models.  It also works on products like J Series & A Series.

In addition to all mobiles made by Samsung, SRI-Noida specializes in models in the mid -tier segment, particularly ones based on Android Go platform – a super light and highly optimized mobile platform designed for ultra-budget smartphones. SRI-Noida also specializes in online Models of M Series which is targeted to serve the millennial & innovative products like J Series and A Series.  

In 2019, the center won mBillionth award[2] for Samsung Global Goals for its contribution towards United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.[3]

Employees

SRI - Noida currently employs [4]over 2200 people. SRI-Noida has a very young work force. Most new hires are fresher [5]from Indian engineering institutes .  The employees get a number of benefits such as Samsung employee discount, free transport to and from office, free food in cafeteria, free medical insurance for the employee and their families. The center also takes care of the annual health check of the employees and has free counseling services for employee and their kin. The center has a dedicated program to identify and support employees for patenting their ideas. Since 2007, more than 300 patents[6] has been filed by this center in India and globally.

SRI-Noida has tie-up with BITS Pilani where it offers M.Tech to its employee. This is a class room course[7] for a duration of 2 years with the curriculum designed for growing technologies. Technovate [8]is the biggest internal ideation event of SRI-Noida where employees ideate and showcase their innovations through working demos. The prototypes demonstrated in the event range from innovative yet simple solutions to out-of-the-box futuristic solutions in mobile domain which are built using the trending & upcoming technologies.

In 2020, SRI-Noida has also launched Hackathon – AI based coding contest focused on prototypes.

Mobile Platform & Systems

Make for India (MFI) solutions

The ‘Make for India’ initiative started by Samsung in 2014-15 to understand the unique & diversified needs of Indian consumers[9] in the mobile market. These consumer insights were used to deliver meaningful solutions in Samsung products. SRI-Noida has built a very strong development team that uses latest technologies including AI and AR for developing Make For India solutions. Since 2015, SRI-Noida have developed an array of solutions such as S-bike for Road Safety[10], S-Secure for secure transactions through Wi-Fi, Galaxy Apps store where customer can search for apps in regional Indian languages, Unbox magic home cloud which enables the transfer of pictures and videos from your phone to Samsung smart TV, UDS (Ultra Data Saving) for saving mobile data, Chat over the video, and Alive intelligence which is latest in list of innovations.

Digital Healthcare

SRI-Noida works on technologies to provide healthcare solutions through the Samsung Health Application. It allows the consumers to track key wellness metrics and manage their health. This wellness app has features that encompass Step Count, Nutrition Log, Track exercise, Sleep Goals, Meditation programs, Active Time target, Global Challenges, Daily health insights, and Women health. It makes use of tools like blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, stress rate monitors to deliver such innovative features. With these, Samsung Health constantly monitors health & well-being, analyze progress and provides personalized tips and guidance for improved wellness.

Enterprise & Security

Samsung Knox is a comprehensive set of security solutions for personal and enterprise use which secures smartphones, tablets, and wearable. Samsung Knox consists of a highly secure platform, Knox Platform for Enterprise, built into Samsung devices and a set of solutions that leverage this platform. Knox Platform for Enterprise (KPE) brings defense-grade security on the most popular consumer devices to all enterprises. It provides best-in-class hardware-based security, policy management, and compliance capabilities beyond the standard features in Android and iOS. KPE is the cornerstone of a strong mobile security strategy.

Research & Innovation

Apart from Software Development & Verification, SRI-Noida also focuses on research in the areas of advanced technologies such as AI, IoT & 5G. SRI-Noida has filed around 300 patents in India & Globally. SRI-N collaborates with academic institutes like IITs for research & innovation in domains of AI, Mobile Security, Healthcare, and Audio Processing. It also engages interns from academic institutes to work on research & innovative projects.

Corporate Social Responsibility

The employees volunteer for various causes taken up by the center. Education and Environment are two of the prominent causes SRI-Noida works on. SRI-Noida has adopted a Govt. school, Hazratpur Wajidpur Primary School in Noida. The employee volunteers visit this school daily to teach its students. Company also contributes to build its infrastructure & conduct events. Apart from this, the center conducts tree plantation & awareness drives, Blood donation camps, hosting NGOs on-campus & various other events.

SRI-Noida campus

The campus is situated in Logix Cyber Park in sector 62 Noida. The campus has onsite amenities such as cafeteria, gym, library, recreation room, healthcare center, etc. The campus is 1.5 km from sector 62 metro station Noida which is on the blue line of Delhi Metro.
