Ruffiac, Lot-et-Garonne

Ruffiac is a commune in the Lot-et-Garonne department in south-western France.[2]

History

The population of Volgelsheim (Haut-Rhin) was moved to the town and the neighboring Antagnac September 1939 to June 1940, a width of 10 km from the Rhine area were evacuated to make room for French armies. There is a street named Volgelsheim Street in Ruffiac.

In 1972, the town has met with the neighbor Antagnac and 2001, the two towns are separated again.

Demography

In 2010, the town had 176 inhabitants. The evolution of the number of inhabitants is known throughout the population censuses conducted in the town since 1793. From the twenty-first century, the actual census of municipalities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants are held every five years, unlike other towns that have a sample survey each year
