Rudy Pankow

Rudy Pankow (born August 12, 1998) is an American actor best known for his role as JJ Maybank on the Netflix[1] series Outer Banks.[2]

Personal life

Rudy Pankow was born in 1998 and grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska. Pankow's father, Andrew, is a doctor. His mother is a homemaker. He grew up with an older brother, sister, and younger brother.[3][4] He attended a local school where he played soccer and participated in track events. After high school, Pankow left Alaska to go to California. Pankow originally considered going to culinary school, but chose to become an actor and joined a 2016–17 batch in an acting institute.[5]

After that, Pankow enrolled at Michael Woolson Studios to better his acting skills. After completion of the acting course he started playing theatre to gain more experience.[6]

Career

Pankow is best known for his role as J.J.[7] on Outer Banks.[8] Other shows Pankow has performed on are The Politician, Deviant, and Space Waves.

During Pankow's time in theatre, he played roles in The Nutcracker, Mary Poppins and Oliver Twist.
