Robert Rumsey

Robert Edwin Rumsey (17 February 1844 – 12 June 1884) was an English cricketer. Rumsey was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm roundarm fast. He was born at Greenwich, Kent.

Rumsey made his first-class debut for Kent County Cricket Club against Hampshire at the Private Banks Sports Ground in 1875.[1] He made two further first-class appearances for Kent in that season, against Derbyshire and Surrey.[1] He took 7 wickets in his three matches at an average of 20.00,[2] with his best figures of 5/48 coming on debut against Hampshire.[3] With the bat, he scored a total of 20 runs at a batting average of 5.00 and a high score of 13.[4]

He died at the town of his birth on 12 June 1884.
