Robert Piva is a former professional rugby league footballer who represented both New Zealand and Western Samoa.[1]

Playing career

A Wellington Rugby League player, Piva played for the Waterside, St. George, Randwick, Porirua City and Kapiti Bears clubs.[2][3] Piva then played for the Taranaki Rockets in the 1994 Lion Red Cup.[4] Halfway through the season he was signed by the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, and he moved to England.[5] After the 1994-5 English season had ended he returned to Australasia and played two seasons with the North Queensland Cowboys before spending one season in France.

In 2001 he played in the Bartercard Cup for the Porirua Pumas.[6]

Representative career

A Junior Kiwi, Piva was a Western Samoan and New Zealand international and played at the 1995 World Cup for Western Samoa.
