Richard Myddelton (1764–1796)

Richard Myddelton (c. 1764 – 20 December 96), of Chirk Castle, Denbighshire was a Welsh politician.

Chirk Castle

He was the only son of Richard Myddelton of Chirk Castle and was educated at Eton College. He succeeded to his father's Welsh estates, including Chirk Castle, in 1795.

He was a Member of Parliament (MP) for Denbigh Boroughs 1788 to 1796.[1]

He died unmarried as a sitting MP in 1796 and was replaced in January 1797 by Thomas Tyrwhitt Jones. Chirk Castle and some local land was inherited by his sister Charlotte, who had married Robert Biddulph. The remaining property was divided between his other two sisters.
