Richard McGeagh

Richard Michael McGeagh (born March 11, 1944) is an American former competition swimmer and former world record-holder. McGeagh participated in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. He swam the backstroke leg for the gold medal-winning U.S. team in the men's 4×100-meter medley relay during the preliminary heats of the event.[1] He did not receive a medal, however; under the 1964 Olympic swimming rules only swimmers who competed in the event final were medal-eligible.
