Richard Joyce (field hockey)
Richard Kyle John Joyce (born 30 July 1992)[1] is a field hockey player from New Zealand, who plays as a goalkeeper.[2][3]

Personal life
Richard Joyce was born and raised in North Shore, New Zealand.[2]
Career
National Hockey League
In the New Zealand National Hockey League, Joyce plays for the North Harbour men's team.[4]
National teams
Under–21
Richard Joyce made his debut for the New Zealand under-21 team in 2012, at the Sultan of Johor Cup in Johor Bahru.[5]
The following year in 2013, Joyce represented the team at the Junior World Cup in New Delhi. At the tournament, the team finished seventh.[6]
Black Sticks
In 2014, Richard Joyce debuted for the New Zealand senior international team, the 'Black Sticks', during a test series against Japan in Wellington.[6][2]
Joyce claimed his first major medal for New Zealand in 2017, winning silver at the Oceania Cup in Sydney.[7] He followed this up with silver medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast,[8][9] and again at the Oceania Cup in 2019 in Rockhampton.[10]
