Red Star Rugby League Club is member of the Red Star Sports Society.

In December 2018 it was announced that the club will play in the British based knockout competition, the 2019 Challenge Cup, on the condition that matches in the first two rounds will be played away from home.[2]

In January 2020, the club announced their intention to join the British based RFL system in 2021, if they can find the investment needed to compete.[3] If Red Star RL were to join the RFL system they would plan to take part in League 1 in 2021.
