Rasanan

Rasanan (Persian: رسنان‎, also Romanized as Rasanān)[1] is a village in Lavasan-e Bozorg Rural District, Lavasanat District, Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 375, in 111 families.[2]

Rasanan is one of the most beautiful and unique villages of Lavasanat district in Shemiranat, Tehran province of Iran. The village is located at 11 km from Tehran road to Damavand and has 14 km distance from Lavasan city center of Lavasanat district. After the Jajrood River and moving towards the Latian Dam, you will reach this beautiful village. A special and unique village near Tehran that serves a one-day trip for the weekend. Breathing in a clean air and seeing a blue sky that you can get within half an hour and at a distance of about 35 kilometers everywhere around Tehran. In the spring and summer, the weather is calm and cool, and it's cold in the fall and winter. Of course it's true that the weather is cold in the winter, but we advise you to see the village in all seasons. This beautiful and special village with spectacular scenery and expansive effects, especially in the spring and summer, attracts thousands of urban tourists. The villagers of Rasanan, like other villages in the region, speak in ancient Persian language. [1] Rasanan is very close to the capital and since old times, people of the village had two houses; one in Tehran for the winter and one for the remainder of the year in Rasanan. Thus, while preserving the authenticity of the good qualities of families with Iranian culture, their children are highly educated, according to the ratio of population, in Iran. If you want to visit other village, you can continue to go to the four-garden village. Again, on the right is Kalakdar Farm. The Kalakdar farm belongs to the two original families of the region, the Hadian and Mohammadian families. These families have endowed the farm for Imam Hussein for the rural development . Rasanan has a primary school, which was donated by the late Ali Asghar Mohammadian and was built more than 55 years ago.

Over the past few decades, the buildings of this village have been changed and instead of them new buildings and villa have been built and the old texture of the village has been transformed. It is worthwhile to know that in the old days Rasanan village had an interesting architecture.

According to the documents and especially the endowment's letter of the Kalakdar farm, a group of Hadian families is from the Zand family and the sons of Haj Mohammad Hassan Khan and Suleiman Shahsavari. During the massacre of their family, in the reign of Sultan Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar, they had secretly emigrated from Shiraz to Rasanan, and had taken some interesting and traditional architecture in their homes. Unfortunately, the gardens of these areas are being ruined and the hills and mountains are also subjected to bad erosion. In recent years, many gardens have been changed to villas and, the village has changed in terms of architecture. On the other hand, the inhabitants of Tehran and the surrounding area will come to these region during the holidays and will not take the necessary considerations to maintain the biodiversity of these villages.

How to go? The distance from Tehran to Rasanan is 33 km from Tehran's first exit, but two routes can be used to go to Rasanan: One way, Tehran, Jajrood, Latian Dam, Rasnan; Second way Tehran, Lashgarag, Galandoak, Naron, Henzak, Afjeh, and Niknamdeh and then Rasanan. Both of these paths are paved. If you are planning to go from Tehran to Rasanan, you can go along the highway of Shahid Babaei, Jajrood road, and the Latian Dam and Rasanan. For a return trip, you can continue to Jajroud Road and enjoy the beautiful nature around the Latian Dam on this path. From Rasanan to Latian Dam, six kilometers from Dam to Jajrood road, about seven kilometers, and from there to the Baba'i highway about 15 kilometers.

Souvenirs and products: Walnuts, apples, apricots, cherries, sour cherries, peaches, plums, berries and garden products. Dairy products such as milk, yogurt, butter and honey are also common.
