Posey Township, Franklin County, Indiana

Posey Township is one of thirteen townships in Franklin County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,051.[3]

History

Posey Township is named for Thomas Posey, second Governor of Indiana Territory.[4]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 18.15 square miles (47.0 km2), of which 18.09 square miles (46.9 km2) (or 99.67%) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) (or 0.33%) is water.[3]
