History

Polsat started broadcasting on 5 December 1992 via satellite. To circumvent licensing issues, it legally broadcast from Hilversum (The Netherlands) and imported programming had to come by plane.[2] In 1993, the channel got a legal license to operate terrestrially in Poland.

A high-definition simulcast feed of Polsat was launched in September 2009.
