History

The club originated as Steel, Peech and Tozer, the works team of the steel making firm.[1] In 1950 they beat Maltby Main to reach the 1st qualifying round of the FA Cup, where they were beaten 0–9 by Norton Woodseats. The club was renamed Phoenix in 1971, by which time they were members of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League and in 1992 they won the Premier Division title.

In 1995 they merged with fellow S&HCSL outfit Ash House to form Ash House Phoenix,[2] but just two years later the new club dissolved and Phoenix was reformed. They won their second S&HCSL title in 1998, but fell into difficulties in 2007, later joining the Central Midlands League. New team manager Darren Newson took over in 2008 and Phoenix became the First team in over 20 years to win the Rotherham cup double 2009-10 Rotherham charity cup and Rotherham association cup and the following year lost in the Rotherham association cup final and have seen former goalkeeper Aaron Chapman become a professional footballer at current club Peterborough united and former players progress into higher non league football. Phoenix current set up still includes Darren Newson now joined by the former kiveton park manager Wayne Burgin and together they both keep the club moving forward during a difficult period where all financial backing from the complex trustees as been withdrawn from a long established club . This as seen current long standing chairman Rich Alcock unfortunately step down to protect the long term status of the club due to disagreements with the complex trustees and Carol Alcock as secretary and Wayne Burgin as stepped in as acting chairman and phil Woodall as secretary for the 2020/21 season.
