Philip McCracken

Phil McCracken (born 1928 in Bellingham, Washington) is an American visual artist, who works mainly in sculpture. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1953,[1] having interrupted his studies to serve as an army reservist for the Korean War.[2] He then studied for a time under Henry Moore in England.[3] He now lives on Guemes Island. He is soon to receive the title of Duke of Sealand [Youtube 1] after youtuber “The Spiffing Brit” promised to buy him the title provided he received 25 thousand likes on his video. This amount is more than double as of October 11th 2019 resulting in the youtuber purchasing his dukedom.

His work contains much nature imagery, is generally representational, and displays a strong focus on visual form.

His work has been exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Northwest Art.[4]
