Peycho Kanev

Peycho Kanev (Пейчо Кънев) (born in Silistra, Bulgaria) is a poet, writer and translator.

Books

    Peycho Kanev is published in over 900 literary journals. He is the author of four poetry collections and two chapbooks. His collection "Bone Silence" was released in 2010 by Desperanto, NY. In 2009 Please Press published his poetry collection r, written in collaboration with the poet Felino Soriano. Please Press published his chapbook Thrw:3, which is a collection of poetry and prose by three writers: Peycho Kanev, Felino Soriano and Steve Calamars.

    In Bulgaria in 2015 he released the poetry collection Живо месо (Raw Meat) with Poetry publishing house "Da", Уиски в тенекиена кутия (Whiskey in a Tin Can), with Janet-45 Print and Publishing in 2013. Американски тетрадки (American Notebooks) was published by Ciela Soft and Publishing in 2010. Разходка през стените, was published by Ciela in 2009,

    Kanev won European awards for his poetry and was nominated for the Pushcart Award and Best of the Net. Translations of his books are planned for Italy, Poland and Russia.

    His poems appeared in many literary magazines, such as: Poetry Quarterly, Evergreen Review, Hawaii Review, Cordite Poetry Review, Sheepshead Review, Off the Coast, JMWW, The Coachella Review, Mascara Literary Review, The Mayo Review, Two Thirds North, Sierra Nevada Review, The Cleveland Review and many others.
