Peristerona, Thessaloniki

Peristerona (Greek: Περιστερώνα) is a village and a community of the Volvi municipality.[2] Before the 2011 local government reform it was part of the municipality of Apollonia, of which it was a municipal district.[2] The 2011 census recorded 1,851 inhabitants in the village and 1,922 inhabitants in the community.[1] The community of Peristerona covers an area of 51.161 km2.[3]

Administrative division

The community of Volvi consists of four separate settlements:[1]

  • Peristerona (population 394)
  • Plateia (population 27)
  • Spitakia (population 21)
