Professional career

Gueye made his professional debut for Le Havre in a 0–0 Ligue 2 tie with Chamois Niortais on 5 May 2017.[1] He signed his first professional contract on 20 June 2017.[2]

On the 15th of January 2020, Pape Gueye signed a 5 year contract with Premier League team Watford F.C. with the option of a further year. Officially joining Watford F.C. on the 1st July 2020.

Pape Gueye is a defensive midfielder tactically disciplined, Pape Gueye is a box-to-box midfielder, noted for his aggressive and highly competitive style of play. Pape Gueye has been compared to a young Patrick Vieira by critics[3]
