On-anong Homsombath

Homsombath lives in Vientiane. She studied International Relations from the University of Kaposvár in Hungary. She has worked for the Mekong River Commission. On-anong has always been an advocate for youth empowerment and cultural exchange. Since young age On-anong represented her country, Laos in various cultural exchange programs. When she was 15, she represented Lao students under a prestigious youth exchange program in the Unites States called Southeast Asian Youth Leadership program hosted by the University of Chicago. In 2013, On-anong represented Laos in the 40th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japan Youth Program in which she spent 60 days on the cruise ship traveling around Japan and 10 ASEAN nations. Later in 2014, On-anong also got to represent Laos at the Young Southeast Asian Youth Leadership Initiative to greet President Obama in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
