It succeeds the Olympus OM-D E-M1 in the lineup, and includes 20-megapixel sensor (Comparing to the Original E-M1's 16 MP Sensor), Fully Articulated LCD Touch Screen, High Resolution Shot Mode (50MP JPEG / 80MP RAW), 4K Video Support (including Cinema 4K @24p), 60 frames per second maximum sequential shooting speed (Electric Shutter) and HDMI output mode amongst its other improvements.[1]
The E-M1 Mark II won Camera Grand Prix 2017 Camera of the Year.[2]
In January 2019, Olympus announced its new flagship Olympus OM-D E-M1X, which is intended for professional use.
In February 2020, Olympus announced the OM-D E-M1 Mark III, the official successor to the E-M1 Mark II.[3]
