North Grand Mall

North Grand Mall is a 340,000-square-foot (32,000 m2)[2] shopping center serving the city of Ames, Iowa.[3] In 2006, plans were announced for a $30 million renovation and expansion.[4] In 2004, a farmers' market operated at the mall.[5] The mall's anchor store is JCPenney and formerly Younkers, which closed in 2018, with a third anchor (Sears) having announced its closure in late 2008.[6] The Sears building was torn down, with Kohl's, TJ Maxx, and Shoe Carnival opening on its site.[7]

In 2017, then-owners GK Development sold the mall to a trio of investors.[8]
