Nilsson Rocks

Nilsson Rocks (71°45′S 67°42′E) is a group of fairly low rock outcrops which enclose a meltwater lake, situated 17 kilometres (9 nmi) south of Fisher Massif in the Prince Charles Mountains.

History

The group was plotted from air photos taken by ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions) aircraft in 1956.

They were named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) for C.S. Nilsson, a physicist at Mawson Station in 1957.
