Nebojša Glogovac

Nebojša "Glogi" Glogovac (Serbian Cyrillic: Небојша Глоговац; 30 August 1969 – 9 February 2018) was a Serbian actor. Glogovac has widely been called one of the greatest Serbian actors of all time.[1][2] He was proclaimed a "protagonist of the Ex-Yugoslav acting quatrefoil"[3] alongside Ozren Grabarić from Zagreb, Jernej Šugman from Ljubljana and Nikola Ristanovski from Skopje.[4][5]

Known for both his dramatic and comedic roles, he starred in high-profile cult films, including Premeditated Murder (1995), Munje! (2001), T.T. Syndrome (2002), When I Grow Up, I'll Be a Kangaroo (2004), Enclave (2015), The Constitution (2016) and South Wind (2018). He also performed prominently in theatre, including the title role in Hamlet in the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.

During his critically and commercially successful three decade long career, he won a Golden Arena for Best Actor, a Miloš Žutić Award, a Zoran Radmilović Award and a Ring of Dobrica.

Death

After a short but severe battle with lung cancer, Glogovac died at the age of 48, on 9 February 2018, in Belgrade's Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia.[6] He is survived by his second wife and three children.[6]
