National Socialist Society

The National-Socialist Society (Russian: Национал Социалистическое Общество) was an illegal[1] ultra-right[1] Russian neo-Nazi organization founded in 2004 by Dmitry Rumyantsev (Russian: Дмитрий Германович Румянцев) and Sergei "Maluta" Korotkikh (Russian: Сергей Аркадьевич Коротких, "Mалюта", "Боцман"). The National Socialist Society proclaimed the task the construction of the Russian national state on the basis of Nazi ideology.

Some members of the National Socialist Society have been known to attack and take a video recording of people who failed to look Slavic[2] or spoke with a foreign accent.[3] In 2007, an attack was attempted on an attempted gay pride march in Moscow.[4]
