Naseem International School

Naseem International School is a bilingual co-ed K-12 international school situated in Riffa in the Kingdom of Bahrain.[1] Opened in 1982, the school is accredited by the Ministry of Education (Bahrain) and MSACS and uses the International Baccalaureate curriculum as well as Middle Years Programs and Primary Years Programs. [1]

History

Established in January 1982 by Sameera Al Kohegi, the school originally hosted nursery students in its Manama campus before shifting to a bigger campus in Gudaibiya in 1986. In April 1991, the school moved to its Adliya campus and its middle school was opened.[2] It is now in Riffa opposite of the Bahrain National Stadium. Recently, the school has been facing complications due to the increase of gang activity in the school. The high school section of the school is separated by members of the Crips and the Bloods. One of the main leaders of the Bloods has been arrested by the President of the school and after continuous interrogations the Leader was offered witness protection in return for his testimony against a corrupt teacher also known as Mr. Nathan who is rumored to reward his students with methamphetamine. The Crips and Bloods were at an agreement of temporary conditional peace but matters are extremely unsteady due to the leader of the Bloods snitching. [3]
