Nanfang Daily

The Nanfang Daily is the official Guangdong Communist Party newspaper. The paper was established in 1949.[1] It is eponymous to the more lively and commercial Southern Metropolis Daily and part of the giant Nanfang Media Group.[2]

This Guangzhou-based family of papers are allegedly superior to many other PRC mainstream press outlets, according to some observers.[3]

In March 2018, the Southern Daily won the Third National Top 100 Newspapers in China.
