Mormon pornography

Mormon pornography is a subgenre of pornography-themed around the Mormon religion.

Journalist Isha Aran writes that the genre originated in 2010 with the launch of the gay porn site MormonBoyz.com, which portrays sexual relationships between church members, known as elders.[1] (Most adult Mormon males are "elders".) The site MormonGirlz.com, launched in 2014, by a woman known in the industry as Brooke Hunter, a 33-year-old former Mormon, features both straight and lesbian relationships between Mormon characters.[1]

There is no swearing.[1] In Mormon pornography women are submissive and view having intercourse with an elder as a sacred duty. The elder just tells her what to do. Frequently a man will have multiple wives, but women never have multiple husbands. Mormon pornography portrays both Mormon underwear and the sacred rituals that take place in Mormon temples as erotic in nature.[1]

Mormonboyz.com founder Legrand Wolf claims to have graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) with a doctoral degree,[2] as well as being an ex-Mormon.[3] Most directors and performers in Mormon pornography are ex-Mormons.[1] According to Aran, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints views Mormon pornography as blasphemous.[1]
