Moreton School

Moreton School is a mixed secondary school located one-mile north east of Wolverhampton City Centre. It was originally formed as a boys school, Bushbury Hill School, in 1931 and now accommodates over 700 pupils.[1] It was formerly known as Moreton Community School until 2016 when it converted to academy status by joining Aldersley High School [2] (one of the highest scoring Progress 8 schools in Wolverhampton) in the Amethyst Academies Trust.[3] It also previously housed the sixth form, however, all sixth form education within the Amethyst Academies Trust [3] now takes place at Aldersley High School.[2] A new sixth form centre will be built on those grounds and is expected to be complete by September 2019 and will open in October of that same year.
