Miss Universe Malaysia
Miss Universe Malaysia is a national beauty pageant that selects Malaysia's representative to the annual Miss Universe contest. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent.

The current Miss Universe Malaysia is Shweta Sekhon of Kuala Lumpur, who was crowned on March 7, 2019.[3]
Participant
The Miss Universe Malaysia grand final night is attended by participants from the thirteen states and three federal territories (Kuala Lumpur is usually represented by more than one participant), for a total of 21 participants. Participants are the winners of the Miss Universe Malaysia Regional election in their respective states.
Requirements
Requirements for participants of the Miss Universe Malaysia election:
- Malaysian citizen, ages 18–25, non-Muslim and not married with a minimum height of 167 cm (66 in).
- Regional participants must reside or come from the region they represent.
- Possess general knowledge and broad insight about Malaysian tourism and culture.
- Attractive looks, smart, and personable.
- Can communicate well in English, Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin or Tamil.
- Preferably special expertise or achievements in various fields (music, dance, singing, leadership, language, etc.)
