The current National Director, Sean Wong, PBM, who is a social entrepreneur and singer songwriter, is a Singapore Honoree of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of The World (TOYP) Award in 2012 and a recipient of the Spirit of Enterprise Award in 2006. He has been conferred the Public Service Medal by Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of The Republic of Singapore, in 2019. Under his leadership, Miss World Singapore's Beauty With A Purpose Project 2018 raised a record-breaking total amount of SGD 4 million and in 2019 SGD 3 million to provide free healthcare for the elderly and low income families in Singapore.

The Miss World pageant is the oldest surviving major international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951.[1][2] Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant.[3][4] Alongside with its rival, the Miss Universe and Miss International contests, Miss World pageant is one of the most publicised beauty contests in the world.[5][6][7][8]

Miss World 2019 was held on December 14, 2019 at the ExCel London, in London, United Kingdom.

The current Miss World is Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica.
