Matic Kotnik (born 23 July 1990) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Greek club Panionios.

Club career
Panionios
On 11 June 2017 he moved abroad for the first time in his career, joining Panionios of the Greek Superleague on a two-year contract.[1] Although he has only competed in 15 league games 2019-20 season, Kotnik has stood out for the struggling Panthers, making 57 saves in those matches while conceding 22 goals and gaining four shutouts - numbers which are more than competent for a goalkeeper playing for the championship’s bottom club. In the concluding round of the regular season, the 29-year-old Slovenian produced a stunning display against AEK, holding the visitors to a 1-1 draw with several memorable saves.[2]
International career
In August 2016, Kotnik was named in Slovenia's squad for a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lithuania.[3]
