Mark Simmons (police officer)

Mark Simmons is a senior UK police officer.

Life

In March 2016 he was the subject of an Independent Police Complaints Commission inquiry[1] He was Deputy Assistant Commissioner and Head of Local Policing until December 2018, when he was appointed Assistant Commissioner at the Metropolitan Police Service of Frontline Policing[2][3]

He announced his retirement in February 2020.[4] He has since postponed it until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]
