Marco van Duin

Marco Rudolf van Duin (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmɑrkoː ˈrydɔlf fɑn ˈdœyn];[1] born February 11, 1987) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie. He had formerly played for Haarlem, FC Volendam, Sparta Rotterdam and Almere City and NEC.[2]

Club career

Van Duin began his career with and was in 1997 scouted from Jong Ajax, in 2007 was promoted to the first team as third keeper from AFC Ajax he becoming the wears number 32.[3] In summer 2008 joined than to HFC Haarlem, here played his first professional game on 17 October 2008 against Excelsior Rotterdam.[4] After Haarlem's bankruptcy Van Duin went to FC Volendam on a free transfer on 5 February 2010. In the following summer Van Duin signed a contract with NEC as third goalkeeper.[5] After two seasons he joined Sparta Rotterdam[6] as a free agent. In July 2013 he signed a one-year contract with Almere City. After two seasons at Almere he rejoined his former side NEC.[7]
