Marcell Jacobs (born 26 September 1994) is an American-born Italian male sprinter and long jumper (his mother is Italian, she returned to Italy when he was still a child).[1]

Biography

He has won in 2016 the country's senior national championship and, with his Personal Best 8.07 m, he ranked in the top 60, at 10th place, on the IAAF world leading list at the end of the 2017 indoor season.[2]

In 2016, at the Italian U23 Championships of Brixen jumped 8.48 m, the best ever performance for an Italian, but this result can not be recognized as a national record due to the wind in favor of 2.8 m/s (the Regulation limit is 2.0 m/s).[3][4]
