Makhadzi

Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona (born 30 June 1996), known professionally as Makhadzi is a South African singer.[4] She is best known for her songs "Tshanda Vhuya" and "Matorokisi". she sang matorokisi with DJ call me , her second song it Diya buya Limpopo ft master KJ

Early life

Makhadzi[5] was born[6] in a small village called Ha-Mashamba Tshivhangani, just outside Elim in Limpopo province. After her parents separated, Ndivhudzannyi and her 2 siblings had to stay with their mother. She completed her grade 12 at Mukula Integrated school. Ndivhudzannyi obtained her qualification in Public [7]Relations and she is currently studying Drama.[8]

Music Career

Makhadzi joined the Makirikiri Musical Group in 2010 to be a dancer. She started to have a desire in singing, whereby one day she [9]decided to play around in studio by recording herself singing, the recording manager got hold of her recording and offered her the opportunity to record in his studio. Her first album was in 2012, she has released 6 albums to date. As a teenager, Ndivhudzannyi traveled to France, Mozambique and Zimbabwe to perform. She released a song called "Tshikwama".[10] She also released a hit song called "Matorokisi"[11] and she was also featured by Durban based Kwaito artist DJ Tira in a song called "Riya Venda". On the 1st of November 2019, Makhadzi released her Album titled Matorokisi which was well received in South Africa. The song reached number 2 in ITunes South Africa and remained in the top 5 for 3 days.

Television

In 2018 Makhadzi[12] was invited to YO TV, for her first television appearance. She has since conducted interviews with radio stations such as Munghana Lonene FM, Phalaphala FM, Nzhelele FM, Makhado FM , Sloot FM, and Capricon FM , where she spoke about her music, life and her hardships.[13] She also appeared on the Morning Show on etv. Makhadzi was one of the performers at the 2020 DSTV Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards with her dancers. Her performance was hailed as one of the best performances of the night, with users on social media praising her performance.[14]

Award

In 2017 Makhadzi[15] was named [16]winner of the best Tshivenda hit with her song Yo Shoma [17] during the Limpopo Music[18] Awards ceremony held at Meropa Casino Hotel. The sky is not the limit for Ndivhudzannyi as in 2018 was awarded four TSHIMA awards for all categories she was nominated for; Best Tshivenda dance artist/Album of the year, female artist of the year, [19]Tshivenda song of the year, and Best Tshivenda artist of the year.[20]
