M. Vincent

M. Vincent was an Indian politician and two-times member of Legislative Assembly. He was elected to Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Nagercoil constituency in 1977 and 1980 elections as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate.[1][2] He also served in the Rajya Sabha between 1986 and 1992 as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate.[3]

M. Vincent started his first Engineering college in 2004 - Vins Christian College of Engineering in Chunkankadai, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District - the tip of India. In 2009, VINS had established the second Engineering College in its campus - Vins Christian Women's College of Engineering. Both the Engineering Colleges are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Chennai.

A committed industrialist who had dedicated himself to the cause of Technical Education. His cherished goal was to bring up his brainchild Vins Christian College of Engineering as a Model Engineering Institution and one of the best Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu to turn out professionals endowed with rich practical knowledge and dedication.
