Lithuanian Wikipedia
The Lithuanian Wikipedia (Lithuanian: Lietuviškoji Vikipedija) is the Lithuanian version of Wikipedia. It is the largest free Lithuanian internet encyclopedia. The Wikipedia started in 2003, however gained a significant number of articles only in 2004. On December 14, 2005, the Lithuanian Wikipedia reached 10,000 articles, and on February 26, 2006 it reached 40,000 articles.[1] The milestone of 50,000 articles was reached on August 1, 2007, and the next milestone, 100,000 articles, on January 18, 2010.[2] As of June 2020, it has about 200,000 articles.

In 2019 the Lithuanian Wikipedia has 25 thousand unique categories and 1.28% of them do not have appropriate page in the category namespace. The average article in this language version has 3 categories, while number of unique categories per articles ratio is 0.127. The largest number of articles has Geography (28%) and People (15%) category. In Lithuanian Wikipedia articles related to Sports and Crime has the highest average quality. Content about Mathematics is read more often and articles in Education category have the highest authors' interest on average.[3]
