List of terrorist incidents in February 2019

This is a list of some of the terrorist, alleged terrorist or suspected terrorist incidents which took place in February 2019, including incidents by violent non-state actors for political, religious, or ideological motives.

Guidelines
  • To be included, entries must be notable (have a stand-alone article) and described by a consensus of reliable sources as "terrorism".
  • List entries must comply with the guidelines outlined in the manual of style under MOS:TERRORIST.
  • Casualties figures in this list are the total casualties of the incident including immediate casualties and later casualties (such as people who succumbed to their wounds long after the attacks occurred).
  • Casualties listed are the victims. Perpetrator casualties are listed separately (e.g. x (+y) indicate that x victims and y perpetrators were killed/injured).
  • Casualty totals may be underestimated or unavailable due to a lack of information. A figure with a plus (+) sign indicates that at least that many people have died (e.g. 10+ indicates that at least 10 people have died) – the actual toll could be considerably higher. A figure with a plus (+) sign may also indicate that over that number of people are victims.
  • If casualty figures are 20 or more, they will be shown in bold. In addition, figures for casualties more than 50 will also be underlined.
  • Incidents are limited to one per location per day. If multiple attacks occur in the same place on the same day, they will be merged into a single incident.
  • In addition to the guidelines above, the table also includes the following categories:
  0 people were killed/injured by the incident.
  1–19 people were killed/injured by the incident.
  20–49 people were killed/injured by the incident.
  50–99 people were killed/injured by the incident.
  100+ people were killed/injured by the incident.

11 Shooting 141 Unknown Kajuru, Nigeria 2019 Kaduna State massacre: An attack on an Adara settlement named Ungwar Bardi by suspected Fulani gunmen killed 11. Reprisal attack by an Adara militia targeted settlements of the Fulani. The death toll rose to 141 a few days later with 11 Adara and 130 Fulani dying per the government. The governor spoke that the motive was to destroy specific communities. The attacks took place in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State. 13 Suicide car bombing 27 (+1) 13 Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran Iran Khash-Zahedan suicide bombing: A suicide car bomb attack on a bus carrying Iranian paramilitary revolutionary guard soldiers killed 27 soldiers and injured 13 others. 14 Suicide car bombing 40 (+1) 35 Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, India 2019 Pulwama attack: 40 personnel belonging to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed when a suicide car bomber rammed an explosive laden vehicle on a convoy in the Pulwama District. Around two dozen others were also injured in the attack. Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the attack. 15 Suicide bombing, shooting, looting 32 (+1) 0 Spin Boldak District, Afghanistan A Taliban attack on a security post in the Spinboldak District, left 32 troops dead in the post. The attack began when a Taliban attacker sneaked into the base and shot and killed an officer, afterwards a Taliban attacker rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the base, then the attackers opened gunfire on the post once they were inside, no one in the base survived the attack. 16 Shooting 11 (+7) 4 North Sinai Governorate, Egypt 15 soldiers were killed or wounded when terrorists attacked a checkpoint in the North Sinai Province. 17 Shooting 6-9 15 Turbat, Pakistan 2019 Balochistan attack :Six to Nine Frontier Corps personnel were killed and several others were injured in a shooting attack in the Turbat area of Balochistan. 22 Hostage taking, knife attack 0 3 Madrid, Spain Raid on North Korea's embassy in Madrid: The embassy of North Korea was attacked by a group of young Korean men with replica guns and knives. The staff members of the embassy were tied up while the invaders stole electronic equipment which may have held secret information on North Korea's breaching of international sanctions. This information was given to the FBI. A woman managed to escape and warned the police. The perpetrators escaped. Three people sustained light injuries after the attack. 24 Attempted hijacking 0 (+1) 1 Bangladesh Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight 147: A man who wanted to speak with Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina tried to hijack the aircraft. 28-1 Suicide car bombings, shooting, grenade attack 29 (+2) 80 Mogadishu, Somalia 28 February 2019 Mogadishu bombings: At least 29 people were killed and 80 others were injured when in two suicide car bomb blasts near a hotel in a busy street Mogadishu.
