List of international cricket centuries at Riverside Ground
Riverside Ground is a sports ground in Chester-le-Street, England, it has a capacity of 17,000. The ground have been hosted six Test cricket since 2003 when England played Zimbabwe for the first time.[1] 15 One Day Internationals (ODIs) have been hosted, where the first of which was in 1999 when England played Scotland.[2]
The first Twenty20 International was held between England and South Africa in 2012. Only two T20Is have been held.[3]
England opener Marcus Trescothick became the first man to score a Test century at Riverside Ground when he made 151 against Bangladesh in 2005. The score of unbeaten 162 by Ian Bell against Bangladesh stands as the highest score seen at the ground. Overall, there are 11 Test centuries have been scored at the ground.[4]
Eleven ODI centuries have been scored at Riverside Ground, and the first by West Indian batsman Sherwin Campbell who scored 105 from 137 deliveries against Zimbabwe in 2000. The highest score achieved at the ground is unbeaten 126 made by Sri Lanka legend Mahela Jayawardene against England in 2006.[5]
