†In the 2010 season Melbourne were deducted eight premiership points and barred from receiving premiership points for the rest of the season due to systematic cheating of the salary cap. The penalty also stripped the club of its minor premierships in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and premierships in 2007 and 2009[3]
