Main characters

Khan Kluay

Khan Kluay is a blue elephant (voiced in English by Martin Short as an adult and by Thomas Starkley as a calf). His back is curved like a banana stalk. He was selected to be a war elephant of Naresuan. His mother's name is Sang Da and his father, who died during the war, was named Phu Pha. He is known as Rock in Elephant Kingdom(English dubbing of Khan Kluay 2 ) and is voice by Cary Elwes .

Shaba Kaew (Kon Suay)

Shaba Kaew (internationally known as Kon Suay, voiced by Miranda Cosgrove in English) is Khan Kluay's wife, she is a pink elephant. She was adopted by Ma Hud. Her children's names are Ton Ora and Kor Kaew. She is a kind elephant who has a flower on her left ear.In Elephant Kingdom , she is known as Melody and is voiced by Alexa PenaVega .

Jid Rid (Jai)

Jid Rid (voiced by Carl Reiner in English) is Khan Kluay's friend and is a pigeon. He is talkative, funny, aggressive and proud. He communicates with the Ayutthaya Kingdom. He isn't different from Khan Kluay's monitor.

Sang Da (Nuan)

Sang Da (voiced by Kate Simses in English) is Khan Kluay's mother. She doesn't like people because they like to fight, but Khan Kluay attempts to convince Sang Da to love human beings. She is a widow, because her husband died and was cremated. Sang Da died, sacrificing her life for her grandchildren.

Naresuan

Naresuan was the King of the Ayutthaya kingdom from 1590 until his death in 1605. Naresuan was one of Siam's most revered monarchs as he was known for his campaigns to free Siam from Burmese rule. During his reign numerous wars were fought against Burma, and Siam reached its greatest territorial extent and influence. Khan Kluay was selected to be Naresuan's war elephant.

Somdet Phra Ekathotsarot

Somdet Phra Ekathotsarot was Naresuan's younger brother. Later, he was the king of Ayutthaya Kingdom. He is mute in the first movie.

Cow

This unnamed cow is the first animal Khan Kluay meets when he sets out to find his father. She is voiced by Amy Carlson in the US dubbing.She is shown in the second movie when the Hongsa sheriff comes to Ayutthaya to take some captives.

Hongsa sheriff (Ajan)

The Hongsa sheriff is an officer in the Burmese army. He was sent to Ayutthaya during Mingyi Swa's second, third and fourth invasions. He has a gun(which looks like a rifle). He attempted shooting Ma hud , but Khan Kluay defeated him. He was sent to get some Siamese captives. In this invasion, he took Ton Or and Kor Kaew as hostages, thinking Nanda Bayin would be happy. He was even posted at the Hongsawadee weapons factory. He is voiced by Phuri Hiranprueck in the Thai version of the first film and by Richard Epcar in the US dubbing.

Khan Kluay's family

Ton Or and Kor Kaew

Ton Or and Kor Kaew are Khan Kluay and Shaba Kaew's children. They were brought as hostages to Hongsawadi, but Khan Kluay took them back to Ayutthaya. Ton O and Ko Kaew initially did not recognise Khan Kluay as their "dad". Later, they eventually recognised Khan Kluay as their "dad".

Phang Nual

Phang Nual is Khan Kluay's grandmother and Phu Pha's mother. She named her grandson "Khan Kluay".

Phu Pha (Pran)

Phu Pha is Khan Kluay's father. He was a war elephant of Ayutthaya kingdom and died in Burmese–Siamese War (1568–1569) because he sacrificed Sing Khorn, his friend and co-war elephant. Phu Pha met Khan Kluay in heaven. The film proves that he has been cremated.

Marong Gang

Marong

Marong is the header of Marong Gang and always taunted Khan Kluay that he didn't have a father. His skin color is orange.

Ma Nok

Ma Nok is the member of Marong Gang. His skin color is blue.

Bak Ued

Bak Ued is the member of Marong Gang. His skin color is green.

Serm (Dela)

Serm is the member of Marong Gang. Her skin color is pink.

Five Children Elephants Group

Dui Dui

Dui Dui is proclaimed header of the group. His skin color is blue. He always quarreled with Ko Phai.

Som Jid

Som Jid is the only female elephant of the group. Her skin color is pink.

Bai Bon

Bai Bon is the smallest elephant of the group. His skin color is green. His appearance looks like that of cattle.

Khao Mao

Khao Mao is the biggest elephant of the group. His skin color is brown. He is the most ravenous elephant of the group.

Ko Phai

Ko Phai is the child elephant from Hongsawadi, but now is in Ayutthaya. His skin color is purple. He always quarreled with Dui Dui. He claimed to be header of the group.

Ayutthaya Kingdom

The Three Musketeers of Ayutthaya

The Three Musketeers is the best soldiers of Ayutthaya Army. They haven't failed any missions. In the movie, they have missions to bring Phra Suphan Kanlaya and Khan Kluay back to Ayutthaya.

Thin soldier

Thin soldier is the cleverest soldier of the group. He has a mission to bring captives at Yodia Village back to Ayutthaya.

Medium soldier

Medium soldier is the strongest soldier of the group. He has mission to bring captives at Hongsawadi Weapons Factory back to Ayutthaya.

Fat soldier

Fat soldier is the fattest soldier of the group. He has mission to make bobbery at Hongsawadi Army at Kanbawzathadi Palace.

Sing Khorn

Sing Khorn is Phu Pha's friend and co-war elephant. Sing Khorn and Phu Pha fought together in a long war. During this war, Nguang Daeng attempted to kill Sing Khorn. Instead, Phu Pha sacrificed himself and Nguang Daeng killed him. In the episodes, Sing Khorn is dark blue, has scratches and looks like an African elephant.

Nanda Bayin

Nanda Bayin, known as Hongsa king in the movie is the father and successor of Upracha. He wanted to take revenge of his son.He is voiced by Nonzee Nimibutr in the Thai version. In Elephant Kingdom, he is known as evil human king and is voiced by Patrick Warburton.

Upracha(Minchit Sra)

Upracha is the character of Mingyi Swa. He is voiced by Troy Baker in the US dubbing. He launched five invasions on Ayutthaya between 1584 and 1593. He died in the Burmese - Siamese war 1593-94. As a young prince, he is voiced by Sarawut Jarernlap and as an adult by Klos Atthaseri.

Nga Nil

Nga Nil is Nguang Daeng's son and the royal elephant of the Hongsas.He has many tatoos all over him.He wanted to avenge his father from Khan kluay.
