List of Colorado Rockies minor league affiliates

The Colorado Rockies farm system consists of eight Minor League Baseball affiliates across the United States and in the Dominican Republic.[1] Five teams are independently owned, while three—the Grand Junction Rockies and a pair of Dominican Summer League Rockies squads—are owned by the major league club.

The Rockies have been affiliated with the Class A Asheville Tourists of the South Atlantic League since 1994, making it the longest-running active affiliation in the organization among teams not owned by the Rockies.[2] It is also the longest affiliation in the team's history. Their newest affiliate is the Lancaster JetHawks of the California League which became the Rockies' Class A-Advanced club in 2017.[2]

Geographically, Colorado's closest domestic affiliate is the Grand Junction Rockies of the Rookie League Pioneer League which is approximately 196 miles (315 km) away. Colorado's furthest domestic affiliate is the Hartford Yard Goats of the Double-A Eastern League some 1,687 miles (2,715 km) away.

1992–present

The current structure of Minor League Baseball has been in effect since the 1990 season when the Class A level was subdivided for a second time with the creation of Class A-Advanced. The Rookie level consists of domestic and foreign circuits.[3]
