Regular season
- Matt Cassel technically started a game due to the Bills' first play on offense having Tyrod Taylor lined up at wide receiver
- In Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season against the New England Patriots, the Bills lined up in the Wildcat formation for their first play on offense, with LeSean McCoy lined up at quarterback, and Derek Anderson lined up at wide receiver. As a result, McCoy technically started the game at quarterback.[1]
