History

The team were created in 2014, and in 2016 the team signed a long term plan of being officially associated with Lechia Gdańsk.[1] It was announced in June 2019 that the "Biało-Zielone Gdańsk" team was to be officially incorporated into the Lechia Gdańsk Academy, leading to an official Lechia Gdańsk Ladies team, as well as girls teams for various age groups throughout the academy set-up.[2] Due to the official affiliation with Lechia now, the Ladies team will see increased funds for all footballing activities, as well as the use of better facilities, leading to the team to become more professional as a result.[3]

The end of the 2018–19 season saw the full incorporation of the Lechia Gdańsk Ladies into the Lechia academy. This resulted in the restructuring of the team, and the club having to start back in the III liga for the 2019–20 season.[4]
