History

LHHS is a high school in South Fulton County. It is adjacent to Renaissance Elementary and Renaissance Middle School. It was completed in May 2009, and opened its doors in August to educate students in the southern portion of the Fulton County School System. This facility serves grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 2600.

The school was named after Langston Hughes, an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist from Joplin, Missouri.
